Ok so I've been away from my blog for about a week and I'm sorry but I've been very business with work, kids, self and my husband. But I'm back and ready for the weekend. So yesterday I took my 8 year old to the pool and I had some braids on the side of my hair that I needed to take out any way and I just jumped in the pool. Can you say bad idea cause when we got back to the house my hair was a hot mess and all tangled. So with that said if you are natural or even relaxed please make sure to fellow some of these steps before going for a swim. 1.) If natural or relaxed make sure to condition your hair over night with some kind of oil (coconut) to help strengthen your hair stands. 2.)Put lots of conditioner on your hair  overnight or the same day of you going to the pool this will help to protect your hair from the chlorine. 3.)If relaxed or natural put on a swim cap or braid your hair into sections and put in a ponytail. 4.) Make sure to wet your hair before you go into the pool cause already wet hair will soak up less chlorine. 5.) Make sure to shampoo your hair with a sulfate free shampoo when you are done and deep condition your hair to help replenish the moisture from your swim. I hope these tips are helpful on how to protect your hair during the summer months and if would like more info please check out Curly Nikki.com for more detail info on this. And lets have fun getting wet this summer ladies.  :)

Ok so I went to the Charleston Natural Hair Expo yesterday and I had a great time. I saw a lot of  beautiful natural sister rocking their natural do and a lot of  entrepreneurs doing there thing and I loved it. I got to see 5 of the top bloggers out and they gave a lot of good advice on being natural or even going natural. With that being said here is my Question of the day: If you are natural or thinking of going natural have you gotten any negative feedback about being or going natural from any one?

These are a few pics of my hair in two strand twist. I start of with about 30 twist the 1st night and they get bigger over the next few days so I can have that big hair effect. I also but a few pics up of my hair after I bleached it and no it didn't dry my hair out or make it fall out. I just made so to deep condition my hair twice a week and made sure to keep it moisturized. I so love being natural :)

3rd Question: How often do you shampoo/co- wash and deep condition your hair?
